I Move For Hal is a passionate MS Non Profit dedicated to raising MS Awareness, supporting those affected by multiple sclerosis, and honoring a legacy built on compassion, generosity, and community. Founded in memory of Hal, a man who embodied kindness and selflessness, our mission is rooted in continuing the impact he made every single day—helping others without hesitation and always putting people first.
After losing her father to multiple sclerosis, founder Katie turned grief into purpose by creating a meaningful way to give back. What began as a personal mission has grown into a recognized MS charity focused on spreading awareness, supporting MS research efforts, and bringing communities together through impactful events. Our work is driven by the belief that increased understanding leads to greater support, earlier recognition, and ultimately progress toward a cure.
Multiple sclerosis is an often misunderstood autoimmune disease that affects the central nervous system, causing symptoms that can vary widely and may not always be visible. This is why MS Awareness is a cornerstone of everything we do—we strive to educate communities, break misconceptions, and encourage empathy for those living with MS.
As an MS Research Charity, we proudly raise funds through community-driven events like our annual golf outing, which serves as both a celebration of life and a powerful fundraising effort. In addition, we invest in the future by awarding scholarships to high school students who demonstrate a commitment to volunteerism and community service—values that Hal lived by every day.
At I Move For Hal, we believe in taking action—moving our bodies for those who can’t, moving hearts toward compassion, and moving forward together in the fight against MS. Whether through donations, participation, or simply spreading the word, every effort helps us make a lasting difference.
